Mikey grew up in a community called Rockefeller based in Rockefeller center.Mikey didn’t have the best dad and was often abused by his father, prominently so after his mother passed. After finding the brotherhood at 16 Mikey ran off with them and didn’t look back but sometimes wonders if the community is still standing (It is, barely).Mikey sometimes has sex with people he saved as a ‘your welcome’… despite how Mikey may act he has a deep bond with the brotherhood and his friends and values them.

The New York chapter of the Brotherhood took home in an old college campus, in between upstate New York and the main city.The dorms are being used as housing, similar to pre-war times.

The Brotherhood may not look like it but they have barely been hanging on. With more people taken in that’s more food, housing, and resources in general.The Brotherhood can’t keep up solely off of themselves but have tried to get help from other factions, to no avail. They know the only way to survive the fallout is through helping each other-- more or less.

Sylas grew up in upstate New York with his father who had fight rings and also put bounties on people, one of the most influential people of that region.Because his father was such an influential man, Sylas got almost anything he wanted growing up. Clothes were his favorite, pre-war clothes felt so… it just felt right.No matter how much Sylas got in material means, he couldn’t deny that he was lonely. No one wanted to interact with the son of someone so influential.Joined the brotherhood after running away from his father due to loneliness but realized how hard it was in the wasteland soon after. Despite how hard it ones he wouldn’t trade one day of it for anything else.

Over the years the community grew exponentially, having to build homes inside the wall as more people came in.As the years went by, power slowly changed into something to bring people in into keeping them in. Vince, their leader, now runs The Big Apple on slavery and keeping everyone in.Everyone who isn’t on Vince’s side is against him and either killed or put to work.The walls are only ever used now as a facade for safety, those who go in never come back out so no one can know what really goes on inside.

Elijah always had a knack for fixing things when he was growing up, his towns go to handyman.Elijah grew up in a town called GreenRoad, a small suburban neighborhood with a flaky perimeter that didn’t stop a group of raiders from coming in.Before the raiders finished off the town the Brotherhood came and saved the day. Elijah thought they were so cool and wanted to be part of them so bad. Elijah left for the Brotherhood at 17, coming back to see his family when he turned 20 only to find the neighborhood gone.Elijah never stopped blaming himself and still does.

The Bronx has been taken over by the New Mafia after a 10 year war with the gangs who call it home.Staten Island has a closed vault door with the number 66 on the front of it. Tons of people have tried to get into it, but to no avail. You can have a relatively quiet life on Staten Island. The bridge towards it was blown so you either have to crawl across what’s left (things like cracking concrete and unsteady beams) or swim… boating too, if you can find one.Most of Brooklyn and Queens are left to either the Feral ghouls, (somehow) surviving people, or whatever other monsters are out there.Manhattan has one giant crater in the dead center of Central Park left from one of the bombs. People somehow survived and decided to still live there, but most of them are only surviving by a single thread.Out of all of New York, Upstate and Staten Island are you best bets on… living. If you can call it that. But Upstate still has raiders.

Originally, the raiders were a mess: the groups all fighting each other while dealing with their own troubles. That was until one man, the 'Butcher', united most of them all while cutting those who stood in his way in two.The base he has them residing in is a secret to anyone else. Only one man has ever seen that place and came out alive: Prince Overhill. Prince has his tongue tied, just as any detective should.As much as one would think raiders are a threat, the ones under ‘Butcher’ are more reasonable, but stern. They know if you try to run they’ll find you anyways. No one has ever successfully escaped.

The New Mafia has 3 different Families controlling 3 different sections over the Bronx. Each Family helps one another as they focus on their own productions.Each Family produces a unique product that not only reinforces the Family’s own strength, but that of the others as well.The Molinari Family focuses on the production and storage of all food for the Families. The members of this Family are identified by the sharkskin style tuxedos that they wear.The Acqua Family specializes in the filtration and distribution of all water consumed by the 3 Families. They are identified by the Navy Blue tuxedos all of their members wear.The De Angelis Family is the sole producer of any and all weapons that the Families use. Their members are identified by their sleek, Black tuxedos with thin white lines vertically crossing their suits.Each rank of the Families is represented by a patch with a unique design that is placed on the left side of their chest. This is to symbolize being over their heart, indicating where their loyalties lie.Each Don is marked with a patch that contains the shape of a crown with a gold finish.The Underbosses are identified by a patch that contains a silver helm.All 3 Consiglieres are identified by their patches that display a bronze dove.The Caporegimes (or “Capos” for short) are marked with a patch that has a dark green helmet on it.And every single soldier is never seen without their patch that shows a beige bullet standing upright.The 3 Families are in such a deeply symbiotic relationship, that if you were to take out even ONE Family, the others would fall easily.

Clay grew up with a pretty absent single father who ‘raised’ him and his sister. Their father was a factory worker who almost always came back drunk and yelled at them for the most random things.Clay fell in love with vehicles (mostly motorcycles) and would use that as his escape from reality to go into his own little world.Eventually Clay met some people he ended up being friends with that were in a biker gang. Clay joined them, mostly because of the bikes and has stayed with them since, leaving barely anytime with his sister who grew up to resent him for it.
